Spring has Sprung! Finally!
Well, it's the second week of May in NE Pennsylvania, and I think I can safely say that spring is finally here! After what seemed to be a never-ending winter, I was really looking forward to spring, warmer weather, and being able to photograph the re-birth and transformation that happens all around us each year. This year it took a bit longer, but when it finally arrived - WOW!! Everything started blooming at once.
As a photographer who appreciates the gradual transition from winter to spring, I always try to capture the various stages of plant life, from just popping out, to buds, and then finally blooms. The quick transition this year made it difficult for me to get out and shoot as much as I would have liked, but when I did get out, I made sure to slow down, take a look around, and really enjoy the magic all around me. Early yesterday morning I spent some time at Longwood Gardens and took some time to stop and reflect on one of the benches along the path in Pierce's Woods. It provided me with a rest from carrying my tripod, and allowed me to slow down and enjoy the beauty that is all around us!
I hope everyone enjoys this wonderful spring and takes time out to enjoy and reflect upon the wonders of nature. Thanks for taking the time to read my thoughts - your comments are always appreciated.
